What is Reiki?
Healing/wellness is a process that builds up step by step to vitality. It is accumulative no matter if it is part of a Western medical process or based in the body energy focus of Eastern medicine.
Hand on healing has been with us since the beginning of humanity. Reiki is a Japanese based form of hands on healing rediscovered and fine tuned by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 1800s. The practitioner channels "Universal Light Energy" and the energy being intelligent, goes where it is needed. Reiki is not a religion although the principals of Reiki, being universal, can be part of a spiritual, attentive way of life.
Reiki is a simple healing technique. Reiki energy can be used on oneself, family members, friends, animals, plants, and the earth. Known as "the intelligent energy" Reiki goes where it's needed!
The benefits are cumulative so the more often it is used and experienced, the greater the benefit for the whole person in body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Both the practitioner of Reiki and the recipient benefit in every session because Reiki is channeled. Reiki energy flows only one way so there is no wash back effect, only benefits.
Reiki has no contradictions so it is very useful in conjunction with traditional Western medical practices. It compliments and enhances a person's own healing ability in body, mind, spirit and emotion.
